"Strazdi" - dance collective

Dance groups of different generations have been active in the club during the Soviet era. From 1995, when the club was led by Ņina Kramiņa, a children’s dance group was revived under the name “Strazdulēni”. It was founded and has been led with some interruptions by Agnese Elliņa. Now the children – former members – have grown up, the leader is waiting for new members, preschool children (5-7 years old).

Vlada Hmeļevska, the pianist of “Strazduleni”, dances in the collective “Strazdi”, which has been active in the club for several years. This creative group was founded and is led by Agnese Elliņa. It has 9 members, including 7 young people with visual impairment and sight loss. The dancers enjoy performing in Riga and other places in Latvia; they are creative, gifted and can add songs, music and poetry to the programme.
