On 18 November, celebrating the 105th birthday of the independent state of Latvia, people who have worked with special zeal and have made a significant contribution to the development of Balvi region were honoured at a festive event in the Balvi Culture and Recreation Centre, by presenting them with the highest municipal award – the Certificate of Appreciation.
Among the winners was also BIRUTA NAGLE, who received a Certificate of Recognition for her new initiatives and creative actions, help and various support measures for people with visual impairments.
Biruta Nagli was nominated for the certificate of recognition by the members of the association together with Ilona Laicānis, Head of the Adapted Literature Library.
