"Rudens Roze" - women's vocal ensemble

About the collective
The women’s vocal ensemble has been active since 1952. It has been led by Māra Skride, Irēna Apine, Vilnis Salaks, Dace Neimane. Since 2002, Anita Andersone has been the ensemble’s artistic director. Anna Krastiņa, a member of the ensemble, suggested that the ensemble be called “Autumn Rose”, as the song by the blind composer Imants Ozols with this name had gained popularity. Their repertoire includes songs by Latvian and foreign composers, as well as folk songs. The ensemble has performed not only in Latvia, but also in Estonia and Lithuania. Together with the leader, the ensemble consists of ten women. A friendly atmosphere, traditions and, above all, the joy of singing unite women of different generations, professions and characters. New members in all voice groups are very welcome.
