"Spring Wonders" - youth vocal ensemble

About the collective
Anita Andersone created the children’s vocal ensemble “Cielaviņa”, where talented children sang. As these children grew up, the older group “Cielaviņa” was formed, in which talented girls continued to sing. When these girls grew up, the ensemble could no longer be made up of visually impaired children. However, the ensemble exists, the children sing.
The youth group of the children’s vocal ensemble “Cielaviņa” “Spring Brīnumputni” was formed several years ago. Currently there are five young singers, including 4 with visual impairments. These young people sing in ensemble, duet and solo. They are very welcome and popular at the concerts organised by the Strazdumuiža Club. They perform in various venues, take part in the big Christmas concerts in St Peter’s Church together with children’s vocal ensembles. Under the guidance of A. Andersone, the young people have learnt songs in Latvian, Russian and English by composers of different nationalities.
