To become a member of the Latvian Association of the Blind, you need to come to one of the territorial organisations (TOs) located in:
- Balvos
- Cēsis
- Daugavpils
- In Jelgava
- In Jēkabpils
- In Jurmala
- Liepaja Society of the Blind
- Rezekne
- In Riga
- In Ventspils
A natural person is admitted to membership on personal written application from the age of 16. Persons with a visual impairment must provide proof of their disability. A person under the age of 16 may also join the Society with the written consent of a parent or guardian. An application for admission of a natural person shall be considered at the next Board meeting of the nearest territorial organisation. In case of admission to membership, the TO Board shall collect the admission fee of EUR.2.80 and the membership fee of EUR.2.80 (per calendar year), totaling EUR. 5.60 and shall be credited to the membership.
You can also join remotely by calling one of the organisations, by giving your email address where the application form and questionnaire are sent or by downloading it from the attachments below. The forms are filled in, signed and returned to the organisation, the money is credited to the account of the Riga City Territorial Organisation.
