The Latvian Society of the Blind was founded on June 16, 1926 and it unites people with visual impairments in Latvia. Currently, the assosiation has more than 3000 members. The LSB consists of 11 territorial organizations in the largest cities and county centres of Latvia, as well as 3 legal members (organizations). The activities of each territorial organization are extended to the nearest historical districts. 

The main goal of the association is to unite people who have partially or completely lost their sight in order to successfully integrate into society. Anyone who wishes to join LSB membership group has the opportunity to come to one of the mentioned territorial organizations for a meeting to recive all the necessary information and become a member of the organization.
